SABBATH KEEPERS HOLD CONFERENCE

 

Association of Sabbath Keepers (ASK) invites the general public to its 2016 Annual National Conference scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 30, 2016at Reconciliation Centre, Odunmbaku Street, off Charity Bus Stop, Oshodi, Lagos.

The conference, with the theme The Power of Unity at Times like These, according to the chairman of the association, Dr. Patrick Oyinkari, is aimed at harmonizing the diversities among Sabbatarians in peaceful and cordial atmosphere free of rancor.

Pastor Oyinkari noted that Sabbath keepers are being harassed and buffeted on all fronts; politically, economically and industrially as a result of their diversities.

He explained that the association was inaugurated seven years ago to unite Sabbath keepers under a common umbrella. Oyinkari added that at times like these God has enabled the forum members to work together in line with the prayer of John 17.

In a press release by the association, some of the 10-point issues that will be considered for discussion at the conference include how suspicions among Sabbath keepers can be eliminated for a true worship to be achieved, the benefits and necessities of unity among Sabbath-keeping brethren, and how the ASK platform can be used to pursue the ideals of unity and oneness among the Sabbath brethren.

Association of Sabbath Keepers (ASK) was founded in 2009. It was incorporated with a Board of Trustees in 2012. Oyinkari, founding chairman of the association, bemoans the relegation fate of Sabbath-keepers and Sabbath-practicing churches.

“The Sabbath of the Almighty Father and the adherents have suffered neglect, abuse, profanity, violation and outright rejection as some marks of how far religion and modern civilization have driven the Sabbath and Sabbath keepers nearly to oblivion. The result of this has been the relegation of Sabbath keeping people and the flagrant
disregard to divine instructions by authorities,” Oyinkari bemoaned.
