CULTISTS ARRESTED FOR SERIAL KILLING

The operatives of the Zonal Intervention Squad,Zone 2 Command,Lagos,have arrested 2(two) suspected cultists for their involvement in the killings of more than 20(twenty) members of their gang(Aiye confraternity aka Black Axe) and rival gang(Eye Confraternity) in otta and Ifo areas of Ogun State.

The suspected cultists were arrested recently while having a meeting,possibly to carry out their usual deadly attacks on some targets,at Agosi area of Ifo,in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
They were said to have trooped into the area in large numbers,which created panic in the area.
According to the zonal PPRO, SP Adejoi Muyiwa, the suspects have confessed to many killings including the gruesome murder of one Niyi (surname unknown) aka Neyo,the then no1 of Aye confraternity in Ifo,in a bid to overthrow Niyi.
Niyi was said to have been axed to death by the arrested suspects and some others still at large,at the Western City Street in Ifo,Ogun State on March 29, 2016.
The suspected killers,Sheriff Afeeri and Owoseni Wasiu were arrested with some dangerous weapons including an axe which represents the Logo of Aye Confraternity.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command,Lagos, AIG Abdulmajid Ali has directed proper investigation into the case and apprehension of other members of the gang who have been linked with series of killings in Ifo area and in Ogun State in general.
AIG Ali has vowed to get the zone rid of cultists and hoodlums who have been terrorizing innocent Nigerians in Lagos and Ogun States. And those arrested and others at large will be treated as murderers in as much as their actions have always been tailored to one killing or the other.
