Financial Aid To Displaced Artisans: Taiwo Oyekan Splashes N1.35m On Business Women In Lagos

In a bid to assuage their loses and uplift their Economic prosperity, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, has presented N1,350,000 to displaced businesswomen and artisans whose shops were affected by the Urban Regeneration Exercise of the Lagos State Government.

The 27 beneficiaries, who are all business owners, received N50,000 each.

The presentation of the cash gifts took place in Ojuworo Community, Isale-Eko, Lagos Island Local Government Area, Lagos on Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024.

Addressing the entrepreneurs, Hon. Oyekan said the financial lifeline became necessary to alleviate the resultant effect of the unfortunate incident and reignite their businesses.

“This intervention will promote local economy and improve the victims’ standard of living”, he reiterated.

On his part, one of the Community Leaders and Ward C1 Chairman, Alhaji Shina Agara Onilegbale lauded Hon. Oyekan’s continuous socioeconomic supports for residents across Lagos Island Local Government Area.

He described him as the best performing Councillor ever elected in Lagos.

A beneficiary, Mrs. Faidat Erinfolami expressed gratitude to Hon. Oyekan for the financial support.

Alhaja Ajoke Sanni said: “The Cash Gift is a surprise gesture to me. I did not expect it. I Pray that the Almighty God will continue to bless you, grant you all your heart desires and take you to higher political position”, (Amen).
