The Capital Market Association of Nigeria (CAMCAN) and the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) has commiserated with management of Access Bank and the entire Imoyo family on the demise of the organisation’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Mr. Abdul Imoyo, whose sad event occurred on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
CAMCAN in a terse statement made available yesterday, describe Mr. Imoyo as a friend who has contributed to the growth and development of the association in his capacity as head of media at Access Bank.
Imoyo who was at sometimes, Vice President of CAMCAN, was said to have touched the life of members with his good deeds.
According to Mrs. Chinyere Joel-Nwakeoma, the Chairman of CAMCAN, who was visibly shaken by the demise of Mr. Imoyo, said as a personal friend, he will greatly be missed by the association.
She added, “Imoyo is model in corporate communications circles for his handling of enquiries and infomercials for Access Bank Group.
She prayed God to grant the family left behind, the fortitude to bear this great loss.
NAOSNP, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr Eric Elezuo, decried the untimely death of the Public Relations Executive, describing it as an occurrence that will affect the media space.
According to the President of NAOSNP, Mr Samson Oki, described the late Imoyo, as “a great friend, who will be sincerely missed.” He recalled the great periods he had been a pillar and great encouragement for the Association, saying his lost is a great blow.
A graduate of the Lagos State University and University of Lagos, Imoyo, a seasoned Public Relations and Communication expert, is known to have brought industry and joviality in the discharge of his duties, creating immense cordiality among everyone he came across.
Abdul is a holder of Bachelor of Science in Public Relations Administration from Lagos State University and a Masters of Administration from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
His expertise, experience and industrious nature will surely be missed in the banking industry, and among media practitioners.
