Brig Gen AM Adetuyi Takes Over Command At 9 Brigade, Ikeja Cantonment

A new Commander, 9 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Ikeja Cantonment on Monday, 17th July, 2023 assumed duty.

He is Brigadier General AM Adetuyi, who was recently posted in to take over from Brig Gen Nsikan John Edet.

The outgone Commander, Brig Gen NJ Edet expressed his appreciation to the officers and soldiers for their efforts and support despite the short stay at the command. He thanked God specially for the grace to serve and the Chief of Army Staff, for the opportunity.

On his part, the new Commander acknowledged his accomplishment during the few months he stayed and promised to complement his efforts, adding that officers should work more harder to achieve more for the Brigade.

Highpoints were the decoration of the new Commander with the brigade insignia and other military accoutrements as well as handing over of the flag of authority.

Present were the Acting Commanding officers from 149 and 192 Battalions respectively.
