Staff Welfare Top Priority, Zero Tolerance To Insurbodination -Abo

The New Acting Executive Director of the National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI) Badeggi, Niger State, Dr. Emmanuel Abo said his administration will embark on remodeling, reunification, restructuring, reengineering to achieve it’s lofty goals and mandates.
Abo was speaking over the weekend  at a maiden address to the employees of NCRI at the Buhari International Conference Centre, Badeggi, adding that the era of doing things with impunity was over,  stressing that there was no wrong without a remedy.
The hall which witnessed large turn out of the employees  of NCRI thereafter showered  the New director with encomiums over his address  as he mentioned that  the welfares  of the staff will be his top priority by paying the pending 2023 promotion excercise as well as pending arreas of salaries and training fees.
According to him,   “It will not be out of place to remind you that the crisis that engulfed the Institute over the years are mostly as a result of cumulative effects of lack of inclusive participatory and transparent leadership along with poor financial prudence, maladministration, poor staff welfare,divide and rule tactics and indiscipline.”
He explained that , “at this juncture I will institutionalize zero tolerance for insurbodination,indescipline, rudeness, arrogance,deciet,absentism from work, habitual late coming to work,gossips, trading and hawking in offices,theft, divided loyalty and sabotage of institute’s interest shall not be tolerated”.
Dr. Emmanuel Abo, pointed out that, in order to ensure effectiveness and to position the Institute in a proper perspective, the new administration in conjunction with the trade unions and the internal management committee will constitute disciplinary, ethics and privileges committee to effectively discharge the responsibilities.
In goodwill messages by the management staff of the institute,they urged the New Excecutive Director to evolve ways that will bring back the lost glory of the Institute.
Also speaking on behalf of the three unions,Dr. Mohammed Bashiru  said the crowd in the hall indicates total support of the staff expressed assuaramce that the new Excecutive Director will not  let them down.
In his closing remarks, the Director Administration,Mr. Sunday Nwajuebe expressed appreciation to the staff of the NCRI for coming out in large numbers to witness the maiden address of the New Director which signifies the love and support and a sign of good things ahead.
 Nwajuebe, however,  implored the New Director to abide by his promises by taking  the welfares of staff with all seriousness, and assured that there will be a return of better productivity in the Institute.
