An innovated bush combing operation by the Ekiti State Police Command geared towards getting rid of criminal elements, has led to the decapitation of two suspected kidnappers during a gun duel and arresting of three kidnappers.
The initiative of the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Moronkeji O. Adesina across all jurisdictions in the State paid off as the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on the 20th December, 2022, combed Kajola Forest Reserve in Ado Ekiti.
The arrested suspects included Usman Dahiru, Kabiru Abubakar and Hammadu Lawal while others escaped with bullet wounds.
According to the spokesperson of the Command, DSP Abutu Sunday in a statement revealed the recovery of the following exhibits from the criminals. One AK47 rifle, 37 live ammunition, seven expended ammunition, one Tecno phone and a Military camouflage.
