About 8 suspected Boko Haram terrorists group were killed in New Bussa, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State over the weekend, following the insurgents group’s attack on the Nigerian Army Barracks located in the council area to rescue some of their members beign detained there by the Federal Government in Collaboration with the Military High Command.
According to reports, three of the dreaded armed men were apprehended by the soldiers while some of the military personnel were said to have sustained minor injuries during the process.
Sources told our reporter that the suspects invasion of the Army Barracks was said to have occurred last Saturday around 12:00am while attempting to gain entrance into the Army Barracks to rescue their members in captivity.
It was reliably gathered from a credible source who craved for anonimity in a brief interview that the soldiers gave them a good fight and called on the Nigerian Air Force for reinforcement and who also assisted in engaging the well armed suspected insurgent group who had allegedly come in their large numbers.
Consequently, it was further learnt that a number of the suspected criminals left with varying degrees of gun shots injuries, just as the soldiers have tightened up security around the barracks with the view to counter unexpected reprisal attack by the hoodlums.
