Ex-Convict Arrested For Traffic Robbery In Ojota

A 32-year-old Ex-Convict identified as Emmanuel Sunday, has been arrested by officials of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for traffic robbery at underbridge in Ojota, Lagos.

Disclosing the arrest, the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said in a statement on Wednesday that the suspect was apprehended about 8pm around Ketu area where he had dispossessed a motorist of his mobile phone.

Samuel disclosed that he had few months ago was arrested by Alapere Police Division for stealing, for which he was sentenced to three month jail term in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

Sunday’s arrest came on the heels of strategic deployment of undercover policemen to comb areas with incidences of traffic robbery by the Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi has directed that the team should leave no stone unturned in the arrest of the remaining traffic robbers in the area.
