
The police in Ogun State have uncovered a ritualists’ den in Iyana-Ilogbo axis of Sango-Ota area of the state.
The discovery came after a tip off from a member of the community.
Meanwhile, two suspected persons have also been arrested in connection with the development early Saturday.
According to Lagos- based radio station, Rhythms 93.7FM, the den was discovered within an abandoned independent filling station, about 20 metres from the popular Iyana Ilogbo bus stop, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
According to a source, a decomposing body of a male victim, clothes, shoes, wigs, matchete, and bags were uncovered in the criminals’ hideout.
Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who confirmed the incident, revealed the two suspected ritualists as Babatunde Taofeek and Hammed Hassan.
He added that state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, has ordered that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command at Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigation.
