A Presidential aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in the upcoming 2023 general elections in the country has said that Nigeria needs a President that is bold, dynamic, courageous, energetic and selfless in the next political dispensation in the country
Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki stated this while responding to questions from Newsmen on Sunday, at the PDP state secretariat in Minna Niger state capital
Dr. Bukola Saraki who was a former Governor of Kwara state and Chairman , Nigeria Governors Forum however pointed out that it was not everybody that can do it thus the need for Nigerians to get it right this time around.
According to him it is time for the North Central geo-political zone of the country to be supported by others to produce a first democratically elected President come year 2023 general elections in Nigeria, adding that the people of the North Central geo-political zone, consisting of Benue, Niger, Nassarawa, Kogi, Kwara and Plateau states have been supporting others to be made Presidents with their votes.
In their seperate goodwill messages former Niger state Governor Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu and Senator Zainab Kure expressed their support for a North Central President and called on the people from the region otherwise known as the Middle Belt to unite in pursuing their ambition.
Chairman of PDP Niger state, Barr. Tanko Beji assured him of the support of the PDP stakeholders and delegates of the party in the next month’s primary of the Party in Abuja.
