Leading Bayelsa State House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for Ogbia Constituency one in the 2023 general election, Eng. Azibalamawal Jonathan at the weekend commiserated with the chairman, Ogbia Local Government chapter of the Party, Hon.Ayam Moses and his family on the demise and funeral ceremony of his mother, late Ma, Aresuo Moses.
While praying God to grant the party’s leader and his family the fortitude to bear the lose, the Assembly hopeful described the late martriach of the Moses’s family as an epitome of true and examplary motherhood, this was even as he noted that her demise though at a ripe age took place when she was most needed by the party Chieftain and other members of his family.

Azibalamawal who also relived the his personal experiences and relationship with the late chairman’s mother described her as having imparted the virtuous of hard work, humility, resilience,trust and God’s fear on the PDP Chairman and his siblings.
He reemphasized that mama’s role in the life of the party Chieftain was evidenced in his character even as he said that Hon.Moses was more resolved to leading the party to victory in the forthcoming polls.

The Assembly hopeful, his creme’ of supporters as well as other bigwigs of the party who were amongst sympathizers to have arrived earlier to the home of the bereaved chairman were said to have afterwards accompanied him to the morgue for the reception of the martriach’s corpse for a befitting funeral at their common home town, Otuoke.
Meanwhile, Azibalamawal has again demonstrated his love and passion for culture and traditions as was shown during the funeral ceremonies, this was even as he has restated his resolve to partner other cultural enthusiasts to preserve the culture and traditions of the people of Ogbia Constituency one if he wins the forthcoming primaries and subsequent general elections.

He also bared his mind on the unity and brotherhood amongst Communities of the Constituency in particular and the Ogbia people in general,noting that it was not surprising to have seen sympathizers from far and nearby Ogbia Communities and beyond of all walks of life being part of the funeral ceremonies.
He averred that one thing he intends to bring to bear when elected is to continue putting in place initiatives that would strengthen the unity and brotherliness amongst his Constituents and other Communities of the Ogbia kingdom, maintaining that while as a Christian he fears and believes in God, the culture and traditions of the communities which make up the Constituency and indeed the entire Ogbia kingdom should be respected.
He noted that part of the funeral activities for the late elderly in Ogbia kingdom is the popular ‘Ogele’ procession, which he said was part of the obsequious programme for the late mother of the party chairman.

The media team of Eng. Azibalamawal also hinted that the lively aspirant and his retinue of supporters like many executives of the PDP from the eight LGAs of the state as well as other party faithful were amongst sympathizers who joined the Ogbia party chairman for the traditional wake keep later at night.
