How Kidnapper Runs Out Of Luck In Koko

A 27-year-old Kidnapper, Emuesiri Umukoro, has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for kidnapping a girl in Koko, Delta State State.

Delta State Police spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe said on Friday in Asaba that on the 5th October, 2021 about 0730hrs the Command received information from a distressed caller (name withheld) that on 4th October, 2021 about 2330hrs, he was waylaid and in the process, his girlfriend was kidnapped and taken into the bush.

It was learnt that while the victim was driving to Lagos in a Futon Truck with Reg No. FST 345 YD in company of his girlfriend identified as Mohammed Sekinat, 27 years, he was blocked along Koko road junction Oghara by a three man armed robbery/kidnapping gang.

“He disembarked from the vehicle and escaped while the hoodlums forcefully took his girlfriend away into the bush.

Operatives of Oghara Division were immediately dispatched to the area. While working on intelligence, they located their hideout along Pan Ocean road by Koko junction.

The gang members on sighting the Police teams took to their heels abandoning the kidnapped victim but one of the suspect Emuesiri Umukoro was unlucky and was arrested.

However, the victim was able to identify the suspect as a member of the gang who kidnapped her. Manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang is ongoing.
