Gen Fejokwu Warns Troops Against Posting Unauthorized Information, Pictures On Social Media

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Lawrence Fejokwu on Friday warned troops of 9 Brigade, Ikeja Cantonment to desist from posting of unauthorized, classified information and pictures on social media.

Just as he tasked them to be disciplined, dedicated and loyal in the discharge of their professional duties at all times.

The GOC, who was at the Brigade as part of his familiarisation visit to his Area of Responsibilies (AOR), cautioned the troops to avoid any acts capable of causing disrepute to them as individuals and the Nigerian Army in general.

Gen Fejokwu, therefore, tasked the troops on patriotism, steadfastness and courageous acts in their service to the nation.

While challenging leaders at various levels to take the welfare of their troops as priority in order to enhance their working capacity and good output generally, he warned against misusing the social media that would dent the image of the service.

Responding, the Commander 9 Brigade, Brigadier General Sale Kawugana congratulated the GOC on his recent appointment and appreciated his visit to the Brigade.

During the visit which saw the GOC addressed men of the brigade, the Commander used the opportunity to brief Gen Fejokwu on the areas of needs and challenges facing the brigade for greater performance.
