CP Nasiru Goes Tough with Police Officers for Assaulting Civilians

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State, CP Nasiru Mohammed has ordered the arrest of some policemen that participated in the physical assault and flogging of five civilians at Banana Junction, Orlu in Imo state.

The officers were said to have been seen in a viral video where five persons were lying down on the floor while the officers flogged them in the process, an act the commissioner described as “unethical, unprofessional and unacceptable.”

Nasiru condemned the inhuman treatment and assault on some yet to be identified persons by some officers of the Command, and ordered the arrest of the officers involved in the infraction.

The Command while condemning the actions of the officers informed added that the officers involved have been identified, arrested and has commenced disciplinary actions against them accordingly.
