A serial killer identified as Munero was on Sunday lynched by irate mob at Aguda-Surulere while 12 other suspects were arrested in connection with a protest/clash between some youths on 24th January, 2021.
CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command confirmed the killing in a short statement.
“We have restored normalcy to the area as the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has deployed additional men to the area under the supervision of the Area Commander Area C Surulere, ACP Fatai Tijani.
He added that “Arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects who are helping the police in their investigation.
It was learnt that more arrest are expected to be made as the police is combing the area while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
