2021 Hajj Operation: Intending Pilgrims From Niger Asked To Be Patient, Prayerful

Intending Pilgrims from Niger State for the 2021 Hajj Operation in Mecca, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  have been advised to exercise patient with the State’s Pilgrims Welfare Board over the late commencement of registration in the State.

Giving the advice was the Executive Secretary, Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai, while speaking through the Board’s Information Officer, Mallam Hassan Idris  in an interview with the National Wires in Minna, the  state capital, adding that the 2021 Hajj registration in the State will commence as soon as seats were allocated  by the National Hajj Commission,.in  Abuja.

Lapai, who stated this while playing host to a team of intending Pilgrims in his office on Monday, in his office at the Old Secretariat, Minna, emphasized on the rollover of the 2020 registered Pilgrims  as the first priority of the Board for 2021 Hajj Operation in the State.

The Executive Secretary of the state’s Pilgrims Welfare Board further charged the intending Pilgrims especially from Niger State and in parts of the country not to relent in their prayers for the realization of this year’s Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

It could be recalled that the 2020 Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia by Muslims across the world was cancelled as a result of the resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic .

However,  countries world over and some states in Nigeria  have already commenced the registration of intending Pilgrims, just as the authorities of the Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia have announced  taking adequate measures to guard against the resurgence  of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in that country in the new year.
