Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has approved the appointment of erstwhile staff of News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) Alhaji Tanko Dada as Senior Special Assistant, (SSA) Media Relations and Strategy.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, a copy of which was made available to the newsmen on Sunday in Minna, the ppointment takes immediate effect.
Tanko Dada, a veteran journalist is to report to the office of Commissioner of Information and Strategy Mallam Mohammed Sani Idris in the ministry who is to monitor the appontee’s activities as required.
He was urged to work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him for the appointment for the betterment of the entire state
Before his appointment, Tanko Dada was a one time Director General (DG) Public Affairs to immediate past Governor, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu who later retired as an Assistant Editor In -Chief, News Agency of Nigeria( NAN) after 35 years of meritorious service.
