Notorious Bandits, Kidnappers, Cattle Rustlers in Chains in Katsina

An accomplice of the notorious Adamu Alieru Na-Yankuzo,
Abdullahi Sani, 30, of Dungu – Yankara village, Faskari LGA of Katsina state has been arrested by the police.

Sani is said to be a member of athe notorious Camp of Adamu Aleiro Na-Yankuzu, who has been terrorizing Faskari, Sabuwa, Dandume, Kankara and Funtua Local Government Area of the state.

According to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi Buba, the suspect was arrested on the 20 August, 2020 about 1300hrs, based on a tip off.

Sani has confessed to be a member of a syndicate that had taken part in many attacks on Katsina state communities which included Kadisau village – Faskari Local Government Area; Yardoka village, Dandume and Kankara Local Government Area where they robbed, Killed, Kidnapped and rustled domestic animals of innocent citizens.

It was learnt that Adamu Alieru Na-Yankuzo has been declared wanted by the Command for various crimes against humanity in the state.

However, on the 1st September, 2020 about 13:00hrs, a sting operation at various locations in Safana LGA of the state led to the smashing of the camp of notorious bandits, armed robbers, kidnappers and cattle rustlers led by one Tukur Adamu, alias “JAMAI TIGER.”

The 48 years old Adamu hails from Illella Forest, Safana LGA. He was arrested with his biological son and others that he recruited into the world of banditry that have been terrorizing Safana, Batsari, and Danmusa LGAs of the state.

In the course of investigation, the suspects confessed to have masterminded several attacks on villages in Safana, Batsari, Danmusa and Dutsinma.

They were found to have in their possession dangerous weapons including AK 47 rifles. In addition, they confessed to have killed several people during their attacks.

Similarly, another notorious bandits’ gang leader, Rabe Abdullahi, alias “DOGO RABE”, 30, from Kanbiri village, Safana LGA was arrested with other of his gangs.

They included Musa Isah Fulani, 25, of Makera, Hamisu Sani, 25, of Garin Gambo – Marina village; Sada Zubairu, 20, from Runka village; Abubakar Halilu, 19, from Sullubuwa Runka; Haruna Ibrahim, 25, from Garin Ganuwa; Bello Tambai, 30, from Daule; Abubakar Lawal, 20, from Garin Gambo village; Idris Abdulrahaman, 20, from Guzurawa village; Saidu Ado, 30, from Dandire village; and Lawal Ismaila, 20, from Garin Gambo village, Safana LGA.

Some of them were found to have had in their possession AK47 rifle.

In another development, one Nasiru Ahmed, 28, from Kurba village of Kankara Local Government Area was arrested on the 9th August, 2020, after one Haruna Muhammad Alaramma, from Jumawa village in Matazu LGA of Katsina state reported that on same date about 0800hrs, he received a Phone call from GSM No. 08112457461 threatening to kidnap or kill his family if he failed to pay the sum of N1,000,000.

As a result of the threat, the Command’s SARS in collaboration with vigilante group laid an ambush at Tsabe Bush in Kurba Village, in Kankara LGA, where the complainant was instructed to drop the money.

However, the suspect, Nasiru Ahmed, was arrested while trying to pick the N1m ransom.

The suspect, who has confessed said he conspired with one Dahiru Munaringe of same address, now at large, to commit the offence.

Also arrested included six bandits who were armed with AK-47 rifles and invaded a house and shot sporadically in the air before rustling 39 Cows and four Sheeps.

In the course of investigation, a 20-year-old Kabiru Usman, from Ruwan Godiya village, Faskari LGA of Katsina state was arrested in connection with the offence and confessed to have conspired with three others accomplices.

His collaborators included Ibrahim Garba, 21, of Ruwan Godiya; Muhammad Dikko, 39, from Ningi LGA of Bauchi state, from Yahaya Alhaji Risku (who is at Large) and Haruna Isah, (who is also at large).

In the process, 16 out of the stolen cows were recovered and handed over to the complainant.
