Ode to my Bushy Gray Hairs and Coronavirus
My silvery strands are conspicuous signs of aging
Love them as gifts from the Almighty
Years back only few in numbers
Now they’ve launched an effective ravaging campaign to paint all my head gray
My bushy grayish-white hairs are observable now
Willing to dye them black and shining?
No. Why will I be involved in the ritual of doing this?
They remind me of my Creator’s perfection
Whereas many of you do not hate aging
You merely love the colour black
But can you turn the clock’s hands backward?
No? Why can’t you then see the glory of age in the beauty of gray hair?
A beacon
Proof of wisdom
Maturity
Patience
Don’t regret growing older
It’s a privilege denied to many
My gray hair isn’t lost youth
It’s a new stage of opportunity and strength
Since beauty exists at every age
My gray hairs are magnificence of my new age
Don’t pity me for being so radiant with almost a full head of gray hairs
Just congratulate me if you can
Pity this notorious Mr Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic. You heard me well
He brought these shaggy gray hairs to my full attention just last week
Because he’s kept my hardworking barber at home for close to three months!
Mr Coro’s names sound unholy foul vile wicked and ignoble
New nomenclature of yours is coming up every day
Though you came surreptitiously

Your wickedness is incomparable
Your frontal assault on us is hard to imagine
You preyed mostly on the most vulnerable
Who do you make out yourself to be?
You wreaked vengeance with all your power
Before our very eyes Mr Coro you took away thousands of lives
You render powers that used to be
Helpless impotent defenceless ineffectual and feeble
Curses are being rained on you
You seem to be deaf and dumb to these
What an anathema you are?

Parents brothers sisters sons daughters friends neighbours and many lovely souls
You’ve taken away globally
Are irreplaceable
You’ve caused intercontinental economic paralysis
Are you aware of this also or not? That
Your coming has also brought economic powerlessness to millions
They say your coming has sent them to a dreamland
They want someone to wake them up as soon as possible
You do not leave out from your frenetic pace
Insensible burglars remorseless stabbers and felonious thieves
You keep them all indoors at least for now here in theUK
You want us to say ‘Thank You’ for this?
You disrupted education of innocent children
You killed many frontline health workers trying to save others
You increased domestic abuse
Obesity is now the order of the day
Yes or No to all the above crimes and many more?
You padlocked places of worship!

You’re evil personified
Like Hitler you think you can conquer and erase the world?
The way of Hitler you’ll go

You’ve been able to make the world cower in ashes
You brought great panic and pitfall to the world
You’re hunting us like birds of prey

My woolly gray hairs are learning again and again that this life is vanity though
