Ondo Gets New Police Commissioner

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has approved the appointment of Mr Bolaji Salami as the new Commissioner of Police for Ondo state.

Until his appointment, Salami was at the Police Service Commission, (PSC).

Described as a seasoned police officer by his colleagues, it was gathered that his appointment will bring to bear, his wide range of experience in combating crime and criminality in the South- West state.

His previous appointments include a former Personal Assistant, (P. A) to a one-time Inspector – General police, Mr Musuliu Smith, between 1999 and 2002. Salami was reported to have won the hearts of top officers and the junior ranks through his unassuming stance cum the various assistance he rendered officers of the force.

He also once headed the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID), Panti street, Yaba.
