Support Group, Activated 4Atiku Vows To Leave No Vote Behind In February

Ahead of the 2019 Presidential election, a support group for the candidacy of the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Activated 4 Atiku (A4A) has been inaugurated in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital.

The group comprises of young professionals with a desire for a new Nigeria under the presidency of Atiku Abubakar from May 2019.

The Director General of the group, Ambassador Obinna Sixtus Nwoke at the innauguration on 16th November at the Mashoria Hotel Gwarimpa Abuja, enjoined Nigerians to get ready and cast their votes for the candidate of the PDP in February.

Welcoming participants, the group leader thanked members for building the group.

“We have surprisingly ignited the Ubuntu Spirit Of South By inadvertently displaying love for the good of our nation through A4A, he said.

Continuing, Nwoke said, “It is interesting to note that A4A was conscripted as a platform to galvanize and harness great potentials for Atiku/Obi presidential victory.

“Nature will be angry with me if I fail to mention these individuals who have encouraged me alot through this journey.

“Dr. Rita Ozoemena PhD South Africa, Dr. Eucharia Chinwe Igbafe PhD, lecturer Unisa, Dr. Andy Gabriel from the Senate President’s office, Barr Amaka Olivia Ogundipe, Laura Abbah. Your encouragements have been imeasurable, I can’t thank you enough, thank you,” he appreciated.

Stating the aim of the group, he said, “We are primarily designed as a grassroots support structure for HE ATIKU Abubakar, by extension A4A will harness it’s vast network of PVC holders to support all our party candidates across board.

“A4A has a sustainable development plan, we shall put it to the fore to give life to it in other to function on it’s own even after elections. We will implement and achieve all our goals through a solid national/Global partnership premised on Social, Economical, Environmental benefits.”

He however added that, “The centrality of A4A is very critical in shaping our individual and collective knowledge, skills, values and attitude on pure governance and leadership to enable people understand and hold government accountable.

“We aspire to metamorse into a key determinants of social and economic benefits for our people as a vibrant civil society organisation, principally focused on justice and rule of law and also as a precursor to peace, unity and social justice,” he explained.

Going into the future plan of the group, he said, “Our life as an organisation after our victory to Aso Rock is going to define our sustainable plans. It is intended to be flexible but prescriptive tool that follows a competency nation building model through a combination of knowledge and values.

“A4A does not spend energy on frivolities, rather we provide solutions on how to defeat the incumbent that has taken the nation 50 years backwards.

“It might interest you to know that we are registered corporately with issued certificate, we are registered with the Atiku campaign Office as an ICG, we have opened a corporate account with Union Bank, We parade avalanche of human resources which we would leverage on to change the CHANGE. We have achieved great strides through commitments, passion and hope for a true CHANGE.

“May I at this juncture enjoin you all to convert more disciples as apostles of A4A.
In the middle of this euphoric moment as a result of our milestones, let us bow down to reality.
The reality is total mop up of all PVC holders in our various villages, that is where the work is, the work is not here, except for those who will vote here.

“Let us therefore ignite action through a nation wide awareness campaign. Part of it is our state to state inauguration which we intend to use as a grassroots mobilisation strategy and deliver the message. Few states will have the presence of the DG and few persons in their states to set the ball rolling while other states are encouraged to do same through the state Leadership.

“We need every vote, one vote could ensure our victory, therefore our mantra after today should be
“A4A, LEAVE NO VOTE BEHIND.”

Going down memory lane, the DG recalled that, “In 1960, Richard Nixon lost the presidential election to John F. Kennedy by less than one vote percent in the United States of America.

“In 1941, one vote preserved the selective service system just twelve weeks before the Japanese attack on pearl harbor.

“In 1923, one vote gave Hitler the leadership of Nazi party.
In 1876, one vote gave victory to Rutherford B. Hayes as the president of USA. In 1875, one vote changed France from a monarchy to a republic, I can go on and on.We can’t get this one vote without YOU, THE POWER OF YOU.”

He however enjoined members of the group and other support groups for the Atiku/Obi ticket not to leave any vote behind since a single vote can make the difference in any election.
