The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the June/July 2018 Senior Secondary Schools ertificate Examination results
Out of the 1,041,536 candidates who sat for the examinations, only 742,455 of the candidates got at least five credits including Mathematics and English Language.
In a statement signed by the acting Registrar of the Council, Abubakar Gana, he said a total number of 20,181candidates were involved in examination malpractices less than that of 2017.
Gana on Monday said the comparative analysis of candidates performance in the examination for 2017(70.85percent ) and 2018(71.48percent ) shows that there is a 0.63 percent improvement in the general performance of candidates.
The statement reads ,out of the 1,041,536 candidates who registered for the examinations in Nigeria only 1,032,729 sat, as only 742,455 candidates representing 71.48 percent got 5 credits and above including Mathematics and English Language.
“We have 20,181 candidates involved in examination malpractice and this represents 0.63percent less than that of 2017 exam malpractice “, said Gana .
He thereby directed candidates to access their results online .
