Scores of thousands applicant have begun scrambling for job placements in the Bayelsa State civil service.
Our medium gathered that the state governor in his guest to create employment opportunities for the unemployed in the state recently ordered the state civil service commission to begin the process of recruiting one thousand graduate work force into the state civil service.
Commissioning the newly hosted website for the civil service commission in Yenagoa, Monday the Bayelsa State deputy governor, Rear Admiral Gboribioghe John Jonah (Rtd) commended the chairman, commissioners and staff of the civil service commission, CSC.
The Deputy Governor stated that the website will in no small way aide applicants and staff of the commission as well as civil servants in the state to be abreast with trends within the civil service, saying the state civil service must be ICT driven.
In his remarks the chairman, of the commission, Dr. Peter Singabele described the innovation as aspired by the need to fast track activities of the commission through deliberate effort at decongestion of applicants and civil servants in the course of carrying out exercises within the purview of the laws establishing the commission.
Singabele said n the coming week’s examinations and oral interviews will be conducted for applicant into the civil service, noting that with the hosting of the site, byscivilservicecomm.org applicants can now log in to know their prospects in the shortlisted names displayed on the site.
Also speaking, Chief Kune Igoni-Claudius, commissioner III of the civil service commission said after unbiased and proper screening of applications totaling about twenty-three thousand, about twelve thousand submitted their duly completed forms.
Igoni-Claudius maintained that the applicants were in turn grouped according to their disciplines for the proposed examinations which commence Tuesday, 21st, August, 2018.
