The last has not been heard of the allegation of land grabbing levelled against Chief Kamorudeen Lamina popularly known as Sir K. Oluwo by one Akeem Odele as the Awosan family executive members have also gone public to debunk the allegation.
The Awosan family executives headed by Olotu Pa Kolade Oduniyi, after reading of the allegation in a daily newspaper, called an emergency meeting and thereafter invited our reporter to shed light on what actually happened.
The head of the Family(olotu),PA Kolade Oduniyi an aged elder said that one Chief Kamorudeen Lamina popularly known as Sir K. Oluwo bought land from the Emigbokan and ige family in 2016 and the portion that was already sold to the chief were encroached on by Akeem Odele and Wasiu his son whom are also members of the Awosan family.
“Akeem has wrongfully alleged Chief Lamina because it is himself and his son that has gone to resell the land that was already sold to Lamina and the land in question is not even part of the Odele branch land.
“The man has his documents of purchase while we also have documents to show that the land that Akeem and his son have encroached on are already sold lands. Of course one is bound to react when his or her land has been encroached on.
“Can you imagine that I, as the family head do not have any portion of land in Fakale – Awosan because the Baale,Basiru Odele and Wasiu Odele have encroached on it” Olotu Oduniyi lamented.
The Olotu stated further that last year, the executives were waylaid by Akeem and his son,Wasiu and the family minutes book, the correspondent file and the family deed of grants were forcefully ceased but the deed of grants were returned after several family meetings but the other two documents are still in their possession till now.
“As you can see, all the family executives from the three branches are here for an emergency meeting and we are still hoping that Akeem and or his son,Wasiu will show up for the meeting but I learnt that as we speak, Wasiu is having a faceoff with the real owners of the land that they have encroached on and are causing mayhem on Awosan family land.
“Now that the matter is getting out of hand, a decision to invite the police has been made after the family meeting” Olotu concluded.
The secretary of the Awosan family, Pa M.A. Enigbokanin in his own comment, said that Akeem’s allegation was falseful in nature and that there is no truth whatsoever in it.
He explained that the Awosan Royal family have three branches and that the inherited land had already been shared amongst the three branches without grudges but Akeem became greedy and started selling other people’s land without their consent.
“We are of three(3) branches, the Enigbokan, ige and Odele branches which Akeem is a family member but we are all from the Awosan family. We all own the vast Fakale – Awosan land and we shared it into the three. Each branch was apportioned their land with documents to back up as evidence. But we, the branches of Enigbokan and Ige branches noticed that one of the Odele branch family member had started encroaching on the lands of the other branches and has been selling their lands without their consent.

“Wasiu, the son of Akeem Odele, one of the unscrupulous persons in our family has been the one on the forefront selling lands that doesn’t belong to their branch with his father and sadly, the baale of Fakale, Basiru Odele who is also from the Odele branch.
According to the secretary, the land survey was contracted to one surveyor Akeem Bakare and all the three branches representatives were in agreement to contract the survey to Mr. Bakare.
“The family contracted the survey to Bakare but Wasiu Odele turned himself to a surveyor overnight and started selling family lands unauthorised. If he was selling the Odele land,we,the other branches wouldn’t bat an eyelid but he started selling lands belonging to other branches. When his act was discovered, his father threatened us not to enter into Fakale to hold any meeting.
“The family as whole usually have our meetings every Thursday but last year,November 6,2017, when Akeem, Wasiu Odele’s father heard that the family executive members will be coming to Fakale to hold our meeting, (we have some of our executive members who are from the Odele branch in Fakale) so we alerted them of our coming and it was the information these unscrupulous family members of ours heard that made Akeem threatened that he will shoot any executive member that steps into Fakale.
“We thought he was joking until we saw him Akeem with a gun. He is the criminal not the other way round as he has wrongfully alleged.
“His own branch executive members, Dauda and Fatai Odele were witnesses when he threatened to shoot and kill any executive members from Ikorodu that comes to Awosan land for meeting.
The secretary stated further that they all turned back and went to their various homes when Akeem started rough handling some of them.
” Since then we haven’t been able to step foot into the land even though we have called Akeem and his son for dialogue severally to no avail. Instead, Akeem and his supporter,Baale Of Fakale, have encroached on other family branches lands and selling anyhow. We have just even discovered that Wasiu has built a duplex on another person’s land. Even the lands that were already sold by the rightful owners were being resold by Akeem and unfortunately, the Baale is in support of what he is doing.
On why the family did not involve the police concerning Akeem’s alleged hooliganism, the secretary responded “We didn’t invite the police because we felt we should be able to resolve our family issues amicably but that was a grave mistake because of what it has caused us now.
“I can authoritatively say,as the family secretary that it is Akeem Odele and his son, Wasiu that are the criminals selling other people’s land and the arm of the law must catch up with them.
Akeem Odele took to the media to allege one Chief Kamorudeen Lamina of invading his home in Fakale -Awosan community near odo kekere in ikorodu area of Lagos state.
In his allegation,he said that Lamina had invaded his home with armed hoodlums and policemen who pulled down his son’s block making factory and chased all of them away.
Akeem had alleged that his son,Wasiu Odele and two others were arrested and detained at Ipakodo police division before they were transferred to the office of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) where they were also detained before they were eventually released.
But Akeem Odele failed to inform the public that he was actually one of the family members and according to one of the executive members of the family, Akeem was not being truthful.
” Akeem is behaving like a bastard in the family. He is the one that has allowed greed overshadow his senses.
“He is a disgrace to our family and for him to go to the media to wrongfully accuse the people that in actual fact, he has offended, goes to show that he is a very shameless human being.
“I am disappointed in him and I don’t totally blame him, he is a semi illiterate and doesn’t know the implication of shooting oneself on the foot. If he is educated enough to realise that he is toying with imprisonment, he wouldn’t be alleging an innocent customer when he is the one that is the actual criminal. Thank God you were already when calls started coming in that Wasiu has started fighting with people working on their lands.” The family member said.
