Man Arrested For Producing,Selling Fake Wines

Lagos State police on Good Friday, at the Ojuwoye market in the Mushin area of the state, arrested Benjamin Ojukwu,for selling adulterated wines.
Ojukwu was arrested,following intelligence report, by ACP Akinbayo Olasoji and his men who stormed Ojuwoye Market on March 30, 2018, on the orders of CP Edgal Imohinmi, to fish out the individuals behind the illicit trade
The suspect, Ojukwu, told our corespondent that he actually learnt how to make wines and hot drinks in China.
“I was in China to learn how to mix and produce wines and hot drinks and when I got back to Nigeria in 2015, I started my own business in Nnewi,Anambra state.
“I had to relocate to Lagos to start afresh when my factory got burnt,”Ojukwu confessed.
He also confessed to have been refilling branded bottles with his own products so that consumers can patronise him till he is able to promote his brand.
On how he plans to achieve his brand dream when adultrating other brands, the 55 year old suspect said he was going to achieve that after making enough profit from adultrating other brands.
Meanwhile, CP Edgal Imohinmi has vowed to get to the root of this evil crime by working with relevant agencies to ensure the needful is done.
Recovered from the suspect are Labeled bottled corks of different types of wine and spirits, empty wine bottles and various brands of wine, hot drinks, spirits suspected to be adulterated.
