Nigerians have greeted the burst of anger threatening the unity enjoyed by the Hip hop artistes, Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square, with mix reactions after the twin brothers were close to fist cuts today.
It was gathered that the siblings, including the Manager and older brother Jude, were at their lawyer’s office to settle some disputes when an argument ensued and was caught on camera.
An aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokiri, commenting on his Twitter handle, likened the situation to one resulting from a unitary partnership that needs restructuring in favour of true federalism.
“If Peter and Paul can’t live in peace, is it our own little Republics that will automatically lead to peace? Restructuring is a better option,” he said.
“Since the Okoyes can’t manage a little situation maturely, it might be safe to say to them ‘fly away Peter, fly away Paul,’” commented Olisa3loca, also a Twitter user.
Other who also lent their voices to the discussion described the situation as one in which Lola, Peter’s wife, as well as the death of the siblings’ mother would be blamed for the dispute.
Twitting rather sarcastically, a commenter, Favour Onyeoziri, said: “Blame Lola, blame the other wives, blame the death of their mother, don’t blame Jude, Peter and Paul. In my next life, I still want to be a man!!”
This is as Olu The Tailor also said he would rather side with Peter on the matter. According to him, “if you don’t like my wife, mother of my kids, even if it’s just because of me, you’re mad.”
It is recalled that the musical sensation also had a dispute early last year which lead up to a temporary break up of the group.
