Man, 43 in custody for defiling three minors

The Police in Ogun State have arrested a 43-year-old man, Ini Udoh for defiling three minor girls ages 9 and 12.

Udoh, who was arrested yesterday was alleged to have had carnal knowledge of two nine year old girls and a 12 year old girl.

The accused Udoh lives in the same compound with the victims’ parents at 2, Agboola close, off Ijoko road, Sango, Ogun State.

According to investigations, the randy man usually lures the girls into his room whenever their parents and his own wife were not around under the pretense of sending them on errand.

Luck ran out on the rapist when mother of one of the girls noticed what looked like a man’s semen in her daughter’s underwear while washing. The discovery however aroused her curiosity which eventually led to the discovery.

A report was said to have been jointly filed at the Sango Divisional Police Station by Lateef Sikiru, Lawrence Effiom and Ikechukwu Udozor, fathers of the three girls, prompting the DPO, SP. Akinsola Ogunwale to send his team of detectives to effect the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect has been apprehended and currently being interrogated. While the victims have been taken to the General Hospital for medical attention and Doctor’s report.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP. Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and possible prosecution of the suspect.

Iliyasu however warned parents to always take the security and well-being of their children very seriously especially the female ones in order not to make them an easy prey in the hands of shameless old predators.
