Lekki building collapse claims four

While the last may not have been heard about the case that came up after a collapsed facility that killed over a hundred people at the Synagogue Church of All Nation (SCOAN), another building under construction today, came down in Lekki area of Lagos, killing about four people.

National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), South-west zone, confirmed that four people died and six others have been rescued at the collapsed five storey building around Chisco bus stop in Lekki.

“We received an alert around 4:20am about the building collapse and immediately we mobilised resources and personnel to move in there,” Farinloye said, adding that, “As at now, we have recovered four persons dead, six rescued alive.”

Rescue operation still ongoing as at press time.
