Speaking on Thursday at the commencement of a two-day workshop organised by his Ministry in collaboration with XLS Concepts Ltd. on ‘Leadership Success Through Synergy: Performance in Public Sector Development’, holding in Lagos, Oke said the government was poised, more than ever before, to ensure a total turnaround of the State’s Civil Service.
“By now, I am sure you can appreciate the wisdom behind the decision of Lagos State led by Governor Ambode to approve this training programme.
This is proof that his administration recognises the importance of team
work and synergy in achieving corporate objectives.
“This also represents the commitment of the governor to fully assist the
Lagos State Civil Service to appreciate and acquire the benefits that
trainings bring to bear on the attainment of the strategic objectives of
the government and effectiveness of the institutions of the Lagos State
Civil Service,” he said.
The Commissioner added that with common interests, common values and complementary talents, Civil Servants could improve on their overall performance in the Service.
He admonished the Civil Servants to embrace synergy, which holds the key to maximum and ultimate performance. He said he was confident the resource persons lined up for the training would ensure that participants appreciate the value of synergy and teamwork for maximum organisational performance.
