‎Progressive Governors’ Forum Denies Report Claiming Removal Of Chairman Hope Uzodimma

The Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) has dismissed reports alleging the removal of its Chairman, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, calling the claims false and misleading.

‎In a statement issued Thursday, the forum said its attention was drawn to the report circulating on some media platforms suggesting that Uzodimma had been removed as chairman.

‎The statement signed by Folorunso S. Aluko, Director-General of the PGF, reiterated, “for the avoidance of doubt, the Progressive Governors Forum states categorically that the report is entirely false, baseless, and without an iota of truth,” the statement read.

‎The PGF clarified that no meeting of the forum was held where such a decision was taken. It added that the PGF Secretariat has no record of any resolution removing the chairman.

‎“His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, remains the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum,” the statement said.

‎The forum said it remains united, focused, and committed to its responsibilities, and urged party faithful and the media to disregard the report entirely..

‎Uzodimma has led the PGF since his election as chairman in 2023.
