The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has noted that the coming elections and the next ruler in 2027 were already in God’s blueprint as personal and national destinies are determined by God.
Delivering a sermon on Sunday titled ‘Created for Greater Impact’, at the RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta Lagos, Adeboye emphasised that God has a predetermined plan for every life, known even before birth.
He stated:”That’s why I was telling some of my children who are close to me. When they were asking me, ‘Daddy, what’s going to happen in 2027?’ I said…what’s going to happen in 2027 had been set before the world began.
“… It has been set before the world began. That’s why I know, whether anybody believes it or not, my tomorrow is going to be alright.”
Also addressing journalists and information professionals at the May thanksgiving and prayer service for Print, Radio and Electronic Media Practitioners and their families (for God’s intervention, continued relevance, divine wisdom, e.t.c.), he urged them to allign with God’s purpose for their lives-retracing their steps back to God, and being His advertisers rather than advertise for the devil.
The preacher highlighted the biblical stories of the demoniac who was healed, became an evangelist and advertiser for God, also a young girl who led a foreign general,Naaman to healing, describing her as an example of someone fulfilling a divine mission through the action of passing good news.
Likewise, he stated how a former inmate is one of the present leaders in RCCG after encountering God through a tract during one of the church’s outreaches.
He stated:”…I’m sure that girl would have been wondering from time to time. What have I done now? Why am I a slave? But the purpose of her life became clear when one day, she summoned enough courage to tell the wife of the master, ‘that in my country, there is a prophet, if only ‘oga’ can get to that prophet. He will be healed.
“That was the purpose of the birth of that child, and somebody passed the information on. We are talking to my brothers and sisters in the Information Business. She passed good news to Naaman. At the end of the day. Naaman. Got healed.”
