The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has urged all residents of Lagos and Ogun states to cooperate with the Police, remain law-abiding and promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police stations.
He took over the Command on Monday, 30th March, 2026, as the 34th Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, following the promotion of his predecessor DIG Adegoke M. Fayoade.
AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh was born on the 10th of August, 1971 and hails from Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State.
AIG Jimoh holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on 1st of May, 2000.
AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh policing career spans across the six geo−political zones of the Federation and beyond the shores of Nigeria. Upon his promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police, he was posted as the Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police, Eastern Ports Police Command, Port Harcourt. Until his promotion to the rank of an Assistant Inspector General of Police and posting, he was the Commissioner of Police, Lagos state Police Command.
