34 arrested for security breech in Ikorodu

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi has ordered the arrest of 34 persons posing as members of Peace Corps in Ikorodu area of the state. According to the police authority, the 34 were arrested for for security breech in the Ikorodu area of the state.

The suspects have been transferred to SCIID, Panti, Yaba and they would be charged to Oshodi Mobile Court today, Saturday September 23, 2017.

The CP explained that the said group do not have any official correspondent confirming them as a constitutionally approved security agency.

He noted operatives of the Command would not tolerate such activities by any group to carry out functions or meetings in any part of Lagos State in a bid to misguide members of the public.

Imohimi has instructed Area Commanders and DPOs to arrest anyone seen in such uniform or insignia, parading themselves as officials of Peace Corps or holding clandestine meetings, and charge them to court.
