12 Months After: Police Nabs Cultist, Kidnapper, Murderer For Killing Chinese National In Ikorodu

A notorious member of Aiye Confraternity identified as Adelaja Segun Moses, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command 12 months after he kidnapped and killed a Chinese national in February 2020.

The suspect, Adelaja 26 years old from Emure, Ogun State, was arrested on Saturday 6th March, 2021 about 2am, in Emuren Ogun State during a sting operation.

It was learnt that he committed the offence with his cohort at Okunowa, Ijebu, in Ogun State but kept the Chinese national in their hideout at Otta-Agbowa Ikosi, Lagos State.

They eventually killed the captive and dumped his corpse in Agbowa-Ikosi river making it impossible to recover the corpse up till date.

Spokesperson for the Lagos state Police Command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that the suspect has confessed that other members of the gang have been arrested by the Intelligence Responses Team, Force Intelligence Bureau, Abuja.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered that the Command’s Strike Team that arrested Adelaja Segun Moses to work with the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on the investigation into the case.

He further assured that Lagos State will be hot for criminals and “bad boys” who venture into criminal activities in the state.
