The Ogun State Police Command has arrested 2(two) suspected armed\u00a0robbers,ADEMOLA OLADUNJOYE, m, 40, and OLAWALE IDOWU, m, 20,\u00a0after they\u00a0attacked and robbed\u00a0a woman at Olumide Ajayi Street,off Block, Ilogbo\u00a0Road, Otta, in Ado Odo Otta Local Government of Ogun State on Sunday, May\u00a029.<\/p>\n

Police operatives attached \u00a0to the Respond Squad of the Otta Area\u00a0Command, who responded to a distress call, caught the suspects in the\u00a0act.
\nThe suspects were arrested and one Sterling SMG rifle and one\u00a0cut-to-size double barreled gun with various calibre of ammunition\u00a0were recovered from them.<\/p>\n

Also, a Toyota Camry car with Reg.No. LAGOS KTU 808\u00a0AS was recovered\u00a0from them, while the other fleeing members of the armed robbery gang\u00a0escaped with\u00a0\u00a0one Honda Pilot SUV with Reg. No. LKJ 621 EA.<\/p>\n

Other items recovered from the armed robbers include assorted\u00a0charms, brands of mobile phones,clothes etc.<\/p>\n

In another development,the Police operatives attached to Agbado\u00a0Division of the Command engaged some suspected armed bandits who were\u00a0operating\u00a0at No 2 Church Street, Giwa, Agbado in Ifo Local Government\u00a0Area of Ogun State, in a fierce gun battle same day around 8.30pm.<\/p>

The suspected armed robbers however, escaped with bucket wounds but\u00a0two cut- to- size guns with ammunition were recovered from them.<\/p>\n

The Command is therefore appealing to the general public, especially\u00a0medical practitioners,to be on the look out for anyone or people with\u00a0bullet wounds, and the aforementioned stolen Honda Pilot with which the\u00a0fleeing members of the armed Robbery gang escaped, for possible arrest\u00a0and recovery respectively.<\/p>\n

CP Abdulmajid Ali has directed that the suspects (cases) be\u00a0transferred to the Special Anti Robbery Squad Ogun State for proper\u00a0investigation. And that the SARS and other concerned team go after the\u00a0fleeing suspects who escaped from the scenes, Ilogbo Otta and Giwa,\u00a0Agbado,and bring them to book as the Command will not spear anyone or\u00a0group of persons who terrorize the good people of Ogun State.<\/p>\n
