Tragedy struck around noon in Lagos when a chopper crashed in Ikeja area of the state.<\/p>\n

Spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Tunji Oketunbi, confirmed the incident on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Another official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that the chopper went into flames when it went down.<\/p>\n

Two persons were on board the aircraft and residents of the area are still in shock.<\/p>

Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye is the NEMA Zonal Coordinator for South-West said
\nthe Agency\u2019s official WhatsApp platform, said though the identity of the operator of the helicopter was yet unknown, both men were rescued alive<\/p>\n

A similar incident happened when a helicopter operated by Quorom Aviation crashed in the Opebi area of Lagos in August 2020.<\/p>\n
