The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Owohunwa to arrest Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, who was captured on video assaulting a police officer in uniform.<\/p>\n

\"\"In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Saturday night, didn’t state where the assault took place added that the IGP has equally ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the assault and prosecution of the suspect accordingly.<\/p>\n

IGP Usman Alkali Baba assured Nigerians that acts of contempt\/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes would be surely brought to book.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that Seun Kuti had accused the policeman of wanting to kill him and his family, claiming he has evidence of what played out to substantiate his claim.<\/p>

It was further learnt that the incidence happened earlier today along 3rd Mainland bridge.<\/p>\n
