The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the immediate removal of Commissioner of Police Election in Adamawa State as a result of the crisis that erupted following the illegal announcement of the governorship election result by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Yunusa Ari.<\/p>\n

The CP Election has therefore been replaced by the Gombe State Commissioner of Lagos, Etim Oqua.<\/p>\n

Recall that the REC, against constituted authority, announced the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aishatu Binani, as winner of the election while collation process was still ongoing leading to the intervention of INEC and his subsequent suspension.<\/p>\n
