Rear Admiral Ibrahim Shettima, on has assumed duty as the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Central Naval Command (CNC), Yenagoa, with a pledge to build on his predecessor\u2019s achievement in fighting criminality and illegal oil bunkering in the Niger Delta.<\/p>\n

\"\"National Wire reports that Shettima took over from Rear Admiral Idi Abbas, who was moved to Naval Headquarters, Abuja, as Director, Operations.<\/p>\n

Our Source reports that the 12th outgoing FOC, resumed office on February 4, 2022, making him to serve the Central Naval Command for 14 months.<\/p>\n

He urged officers and ratings of the command to ensure that there was no threat in their areas of responsibility.<\/p>\n

The new FOC, said his expectations with the CNC is increase in hardwork, achieve successes in their operation, ensure to maintain or surpass what have been achieved so far.<\/p>\n

Shettima urged those involved in illegal activities to desist from them, turn a new leaf and go into legitimate business.<\/p>\n

Abbas, in his valedictory remarks, commended the officers and ratings for the accomplishments recorded during his tour of duty, in the command.<\/p>

According to him, looking back at what has been collectively achieved, everyone will continue to work together in the future to enhance the effort of the command.<\/p>\n
