{"id":69195,"date":"2023-02-13T13:49:08","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T12:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=69195"},"modified":"2023-02-13T13:49:08","modified_gmt":"2023-02-13T12:49:08","slug":"court-adjourns-hearing-on-bail-application-by-ali-bello-3-others-till-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/court-adjourns-hearing-on-bail-application-by-ali-bello-3-others-till-tuesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Court Adjourns Hearing On Bail Application By Ali Bello, 3 Others Till Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; We mistakenly filed counter-affidavit before another judge &#8211; EFCC<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; Governor Bello&#8217;s wife not a defendant in the matter, Court proceedings show<\/p>\n<p>The Federal High Court, Abuja, has adjourned till 14th February for hearing on the bail application filed by Ali Bello and 3 others on an alleged N3 billion fraud charge brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.<\/p>\n<p>On 8th February, 2023, Justice Obiora Egwuatu adjourned for hearing on the bail application filed by the defendants after they had pleaded not guilty to the 18-count charge.<\/p>\n<p>At the resumed sitting, Counsel to the defendants, Ahmed Raji (SAN), had told the court that the EFCC had filed a counter affidavit to the bail application.<\/p>\n<p>The EFCC&#8217;s Counter Affidavit, filed on Friday, was not in the Court&#8217;s file and not at the Registry of the Court.
