Paramount ruler of Agbura Community, Yenagoa council area of Bayelsa State, HRH Bishop (Dr) E.N Daufa(Ikile VIII) recently marked his 80th birthday in grand style.<\/p>\n

\"\"The epoch making royal celebration attracted friends, well wishers and monarchs from within and outside Bayelsa who thronged the community and venue of the event in their numbers for the celebration.<\/p>\n

National Wire learnt that the Agbura monarch has at several fora been described as peace loving, development friendly and God fearing.<\/p>\n

\"\"Speaking with newsmen, the octogenarian monarch described the day as the happiest in his life, stressing that it calls for celebration having lived by the Grace of God to see himself turning 80.<\/p>\n

He noted that while all has not been rosy as traditional ruler, he has always followed the part of peace and development for his Community, emphasizing that his near sickness free life even at 80 was a testament to the fact that watching what one consumes into the body could continually keep one healthy.<\/p>\n

\"\"While appreciating God and the Agbura Community for the peace and rapid transformation in the community, the monarch called on youths and the public in general to continually toe the path of peace as the 2023 general election approaches, noting that no society could make meaningful progress devoid of peace and acrimony.<\/p>\n

The monarch said: “In this Community, by God’s grace we’ve known peace and progress since I became paramount ruler since 1988. Though it’s not been rosy at all times, we’ve witnessed some level of development.The community is so happy that today they chose to celebrate me as I turned 80. They’re also very glad that it’s during my time as traditional ruler that by God’s grace and the effort of the community, our chieftaincy stool was upgraded to second class grade.<\/p>

“My advise for every one who has come from far and near today is that you should watch what you eat and drink. I don’t eat everything thing, and I don’t also drink every type of drink. Eating healthy, I think is one of my secret of staying hale and hearty today even at 80.<\/p>\n

“I want to advise our youths and the general public to continue to maintain peace as the general election approaches.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Chairman Tarakiri Clan Council of Chiefs, High Chief Seiyefa Koroye has commended the people of Agbura for maintaining their ancestral relationship with the Tarakiri Clan.<\/p>\n

Koroye who represented the Pere (King) of the Tarakiri Kingdom, HRM King Richardford Orukarebai in the birthday celebration of the octogenarian monarch noted that the community was amongst many others in five different council areas of the Bayelsa and parts of Delta States who migrated from the Tarakiri kingdom to their respective new settlements many years ago.<\/p>\n

He pledged the continued support and collaboration of the Tarakiri kingdom to partner the Agbura Community as well as other migrant Communities from the kingdom to fast tract development and enduring peace and progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
