Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, the Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Seriake Dickson and the National Vice Chairman, South-South of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Dan Orbih, were among notable personalities that condoled with the Omemu and Dakoru families over the death of their mother, Late Madam Ajua Roseline Dakoru.<\/p>\n

\"\"Conveying the condolences of the government and people of the state to the bereaved families at a funeral service at Odoni Community in Sagbama Local Government Area at the weekend, Governor Diri described late Madam Ajua Dakoru, as an illustrious daughter of Bayelsa.<\/p>\n

The Governor, who spoke through his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, noted that the various testimonies of those who were close to the deceased, pointed to her kindness and God-fearing attitude towards people.<\/p>\n

According to the Bayelsa Chief Executive, what was more significant in a person’s life consisted not in the number of years lived, but rather the impact one leaves behind at the end of one’s earthly sojourn.<\/p>\n

Stressing that true consolation could only come from the Creator to mankind, he prayed God to comfort and strengthen the families on their bereavement.<\/p>\n

In his message of condolence, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, described the late Madam Ajua Dakoru as a devout Christian, who contributed immensely to the growth of the Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture.<\/p>\n

The former Bayelsa Governor, who was represented at the occasion by the PDP Caucus Chairman of Sagbama LGA, Hon. Fyneman Wilson, noted that even though the deceased passed on at an advanced age of 80 years, he received news about her demise was with a heavy heart because of the impactful life she lived.<\/p>

To the PDP National Vice Chairman, South-South, Chief Dan Orbih, the departed Madam Ajua Dakoru was a perfect and pragmatic definition of a virtuous woman, who raised her children with the fear of God.<\/p>\n

He urged the family and her children to take solace in the knowledge that their mother’s firm faith in God and service to humanity had already guaranteed her eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the families, Son of the deceased and the PDP Secretary, South-South, Chief Felix Omemu, expressed gratitude to the state government and all those who contributed to the successful burial of his mother.<\/p>\n

According to her biography, Late Madam Dakoru, who died on the 14th of July this year, started her civil service career with the defunct Bendel State Government, moved to Old Rivers State but retired as an Assistant Director at the Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture in 2013.<\/p>\n

The funeral ceremony was attended by principal officers of the State House of Assembly including the Speaker, Rt Hon.
