{"id":65328,"date":"2022-10-06T20:00:36","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T19:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=65328"},"modified":"2022-10-06T20:00:36","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T19:00:36","slug":"seplat-energys-transition-priorities-excite-global-stakeholders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/seplat-energys-transition-priorities-excite-global-stakeholders\/","title":{"rendered":"Seplat Energy\u2019s Transition Priorities Excite Global Stakeholders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2026 Gas monetization, ending flares, others top agenda<\/p>\n<p>Seplat\u00a0Energy\u00a0Plc, leading Nigerian\u00a0energy\u00a0company listed on the Nigerian Exchange and the London Stock Exchange, says that its energy transition priorities remain to end flaring, monetise gas, displace diesel and biomass with cleaner fuel, extend along power value chain and target smaller scale gas-to-power customers.<\/p>\n<p>Roger Brown, Seplat Energy CEO said this while addressing global energy players at the Africa Energy Week (AOW) happening in Cape Town, South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Brown, whist delivering a Keynote at the Conference main stage themed: Energy Security in a Consistently Shifting Energy Landscape, said: \u201cAs a leader in this space, our priorities a s far as energy transition is concerned, is to end flaring, monetise gas, displace diesel and biomass with cleaner fuel, extend along power value chain and target smaller scale gas-to-power customers, whilst exploring new opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seplat Energy, he noted, currently produces 300MMscfd, which is enough to power 1GW per day. The company ANOH and Sapele gas projects have the capacity to fuel another 2GW by 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we need to displace 20GW diesel generation with utility-scale gas-to-power \/ renewables.
