\"\"After about a month in captivity, a five-year-old baby girl was today, 30th August, 2022 rescued by the Zamfara State Police Tactical Operatives attached to 42 Police Mobile Force Squadron Gusau.<\/p>\n

The operation was made possible after some policemen in joint operations with the vigilante near Dajin Kare kukanka forest, acted on intelligence report that led to the unconditional rescue of 12 hostages including the baby girl from Rungawa village in Talata Mafara Local Government Area.<\/p>\n

Confirming the rescue, the Zamfara State Police spokesperson, SP Mohammed Shehu said that the victims were rescued unhurt, after been abducted by armed bandit\/terrorists and taken to Kare Kukanka forest, where a notorious bandit leader popularly known as “Bello Maibille” uses as camp.<\/p>\n

He further disclosed that the victims have been medically checked at 42 PMF Clinic Gusau, debriefed by the Police and handed over to their families.<\/p>

The Commissioner of Police while congratulating the victims for regaining their freedom, assures the public of the Command’s commitment to apprehending the perpetrators of this dastardly act.<\/p>\n
