\"\"The Bayelsa State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has commenced the distribution of essential drugs and equipments to select primary health centres (PHCs) across the eight council areas of the state.<\/p>\n

A statement issued by Mr Pereokosifa Biseni, the Press Secretary to the Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor and focal Person on SDGs, Dr. Ebiwari Wariowei said the gesture was sanctioned by the state governor, Senator Douye Diri as part of effort to boost the health and wellbeing of citizens.<\/p>\n

Wariowei said the health intervention, coming after a three-day medical outreach organised in the state’s three Senatorial districts is in line with goal three of the SDGs which is Heath and Wellbeing.<\/p>\n

The Governor’s aide equally thanked Governor Diri for his commitment towards the attainment of the 17 SDGs, through quick release of funds to carry out interventions in various sectors.<\/p>
