{"id":62663,"date":"2022-07-19T09:45:35","date_gmt":"2022-07-19T08:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=62663"},"modified":"2022-07-19T09:45:35","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T08:45:35","slug":"non-oil-export-zenith-bank-holds-7th-annual-trade-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/non-oil-export-zenith-bank-holds-7th-annual-trade-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"Non-Oil Export: Zenith Bank Holds 7th Annual Trade Seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 7th Annual Edition of the Zenith Bank International Trade Seminar has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the bank says the event will be held virtually by 9.00 am.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the seminar, with the theme: \u201cUnlocking Opportunities in Nigeria\u2019s Non-Oil Export Business\u201d, is part of Zenith Bank\u2019s efforts to support the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) initiatives to grow the country\u2019s non-oil export sector.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar is expected to draw participation from trade practitioners, local and foreign exporters, manufacturers, financial institutions, and government agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read in part: \u201cThis forum would provide an opportunity for all participants, including relevant government agencies, to explore ways to unlock the immense opportunities in Nigeria\u2019s Non-Oil Export Sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Export Seminar will feature a welcome address by the Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, while the Keynote Speaker is Aliko Dangote, GCON, President &amp; Chief Executive of Dangote Group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoodwill messages will be delivered by very eminent individuals, including the Founder and Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc, Jim Ovia, CON; Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, CON\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecretary General, African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), His Excellency, Wamkele Mene; and President\/Chairman, African Export-Import Bank, Prof. Benedict Okey Oramah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be three panel discussions during the seminar. The first panel, titled \u201cUnlocking Opportunities in Nigeria\u2019s Non-Oil Export Business: Operators\/Practitioners\u2019 Perspectives\u201d, will focus on the value chain and prospects of the non-oil export sector and has five discussants\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIncluding the Managing Director, GACON Ltd, HRM Adaku Chidume Okoro; Managing Director, WACOT, Bibhu Nanda; Group Managing Director, Tulip Cocoa, Johan Van Der Merwe; Managing Director, First Patriot, Santosh Phenany; and Managing Director, Starlink Global &amp; Ideal Ltd, Alhaji Adeyemi M.
