\"\"A successive raid carried out by Operation Lake Sanity, MNJTF troops (Nigeria and Niger Republics) at Forward Operations Base Arege has led to the decapitation of 20 terrorists.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that during the clearance operations in close coordination with the Air Task Force (ATF), they identified the insurgents using multiple sorties in the vicinity of Tumbun Fulani and Tumbun Rago.<\/p>\n

Due to the hiccup experienced at Tunbun Rago due to the marshy terrain, the criminals on sighting the advancing troops fled and abandoned their check point.<\/p>\n

It was further gathered while beating a retreat, the terrorists pulled off their uniforms, abandoned their rifles and other equipment.<\/p>\n

According to a statement on Wednesday by the Chief of Military Public Information Headquarters, MNJTF, in Ndjamena, Republic of Chad, Col Muhammad Dole, explained that Tunbun Rago was found deserted with littered corpses of Boko Haram and a shallow grave containing Boko Haram corpses were discovered while beating a hasty retreat.<\/p>\n

In a similar development, the MNJTF Nigerien troops of Sector 4 while on patrol in the general area of Ngagam \u2013 Kabalewa and N\u2019guigmi engaged a group of fleeing terrorists, neutralised five Boko Haram Terrorist and ISWAP insurgents.<\/p>\n

However, they destroyed their two Gun trucks and large stock of arms and ammunitions were recovered. In the process, the troop lost one soldier while few others were wounded and are presently receiving treatment at a military hospital.<\/p>\n

Also, in another encounter with Boko Haram Terrorists\/ISWAP insurgents in the course of further clearance operations by MNJTF troops of Sector 1 around Cameroon in the vicinity of Toumbuma, Kerenua, and Chikingudu killed two Boko haram criminals and maintained dominance in the area.<\/p>

Col Dole further explained that “At the end of the earlier battle engagement around Tunbun Fulani and Tunbun Rago, six traumatized female BHTs hostages managed to escape and were found by own troops who then assisted and brought them to own troop\u2019s location.<\/p>\n

“They were professionally handled and given medical care in the bush. The rescued women have been moved to Maiduguri for further processing and handover to the civil authorities before they rejoin their families.<\/p>\n

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the escapees who hailed from Adamawa, Borno, Gombe and Yobe states were kidnapped at different places and times by the criminally minded BHTs\/ISWAP ranging from between October 2020 to April 2021.<\/p>\n

The confirmed identity of the rescued hostages included: Grace Daniel, 38 years who was kidnapped at Mainok along Maiduguri Road on 18th December 2020; Susan Lazarus, 28 years kidnapped at Kupre Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa on the 9th April, 2021; Jumai Inuwa, 42 years, who was also kidnapped along Damaturu – Maiduguri highway on the 19th October, 2020.<\/p>\n

Others are: Maria Adamu, 27 years, who was kidnapped at Gulak Adamawa state on 6th December, 2020; Martha Malu, 25 years, kidnapped at Damboa Road on 1st December, 2020; and Malakalya Dambade, 37 years, who was kidnapped at Mainok along Maiduguri highway on the 25th February, 2021.<\/p>\n
