{"id":58067,"date":"2022-04-18T23:15:11","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T22:15:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=58067"},"modified":"2022-04-19T07:54:44","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T06:54:44","slug":"christian-journalists-condemn-sterling-banks-easter-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/christian-journalists-condemn-sterling-banks-easter-message\/","title":{"rendered":"Christian Journalists Condemn Sterling Bank&#8217;s Easter Message"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">The faith-based media group, <a href=\"http:\/\/journalistsforchrist.org\">Journalists For Christ<\/a> (JFC) International Outreach has condemned the advert published by Sterling Bank PLC to commemorate the Easter celebration.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The message which likened the resurrection of Jesus Christ to the rising of Agege bread according to the group is unethical, insensitive, irresponsible and abusive to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">JFC\u2019s President, Mr. Lekan Otufodunrin, said writers of copies going public should do so with the utmost respect for the sensibility of the public.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cWe live in a secular country that also has respect for the various faiths being practised. Sterling Bank obviously did not consider the sensitivity of the content before allowing such to go public,\u201d he noted.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Otufodunrin said, \u201cThe world is now a global village and everybody is online.
