Collins Igwe the Regional Manager of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution (PHED) Plc illegally.<\/p>\n<p>Engr Igwe who in the cause of his normal duty drew the wrath of the&nbsp; AIG over the disconnection of electricity to Zone 6 for their failure to pay their electricity bills of over N31m owed the DisCo since last year.<\/p>\n<p>National wire gathered that the AIG invited Engr Igwe to a meeting with his team to discuss the way forward on their indebtedness to PHED so that power could be restored to the zone.<\/p>\n<p>But the AIG was said to have ordered his men to arrest and detain Engr Igwe saying that, he will not release him until power is restored to the zone.<\/p><div data-ad-id=\"32665\" style=\"text-align:center; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px;float:none;\" class=\"afw afw_ad_image afw_ad afwadid-32665  \">\r\n                                                            <div style=\"font-size:10px;text-align:center;color:#cccccc;\">Advertisement<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.accessbankplc.com\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"auto\" max-width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Banner-1.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n                                                                        \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, all attempts to get the AIG to release the PHED staff who acted in lawful authority fell on deaf ears.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to PHED, as a Disco, we are using this opportunity to let Nigerians know that electricity is not a right or privilege but rather like every other service must be paid for.
